ETA Travel Advice

Going to NOVA is now a little more complicated for travelers from abroad, courtesy of the UK Home Office's "improvements" to the immigration system.

As of today, visa-free non-European and European nationalities will have to apply for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA for short). TL;DR: Unless you're a British or Irish citizen or possess a visa, you'll have to buy an ETA to get in.

An ETA is a digital permit that allows the passport holder multiple journeys to the UK for stays of up to six months at a time over two years or until the passport expires – whichever comes first. At the time of writing this costs £10, after 9 April 2025 it will cost £16.

What to do

If you're traveling from abroad to visit NOVA 25, read up on the ETA requirements and purchase one if you need to. This can be done online or via an app. Without an ETA you could be barred from entering the UK, missing out on NOVA 25 in the process. Nobody wants that.
